Hamamatsu

Hamamatsu has a very large dune expanse called Nakatajima Sakyuu (the Nakatajima Sand Dunes).

The dunes at Hamamatsu are however only several meters high — the elevation difference is about 4–5 m — but jumps are still possible. Sand Sports Japan was able to find long runs in that elevation as well as steep areas for small jumps. A good time can be had here but some searching is required, which is half the fun of sandboarding. Either way it is a great day out and a lovely area.

The Nakatajima Sand Dunes can be reached by bus from Hamamatsu's main train station.

Remember you can contact Sand Sports Japan at any time if you need help getting to any of these locations or require more information or a sandboard. We also appreciate any input regarding these locations.
