Hamamatsu
Hamamatsu has a very large Dune expanse called Nakatajima Sakyuu and can be reached from Buses from the main train station.
The Dunes at Hamamatsu are however only several meters high. Sand sports Japan was able to find long runs in that elevation as well as steep areas for small jumps. A good time can be had here but some searching is required, which is half the fun of sandboarding. Either way it is a great day out and lovely area.
